SOLD
A rare and highly collectible military-issued Heuer Autavia, reference 73663, produced in the early–mid 1970s and supplied to the Kenyan Air Force (KAF).
These watches were never available to the public, with total production across all KAF Autavia variants estimated at just ~200–400 pieces, of which the 3-register Valjoux 7736 examples like this are believed to represent only a small portion.
This example features the distinctive and sought-after “Shauntavia” dial configuration, characterised by its radial Arabic numerals, black dial with contrasting white sub-registers, and orange chronograph hand. The caseback is correctly engraved “KAF 441”, placing it within the known issue range.
Powered by the correct manual wind Valjoux 7736 movement, signed Heuer-Leonidas SA. The watch remains in honest, well-preserved condition with a strong case, clean dial showing light age, and a nicely worn period-style bezel.
