A seriously uncommon take on a classic form. This late 1960s Jaeger-LeCoultre stands out immediately with its deep blue lapis dial, framed by a warm 18k gold case. Pieces like this are most often seen in much smaller formats, making this larger 28.5mm example a rare and far more wearable proposition.

The dial is the hero here a rich lapis ring with Roman numerals that shifts beautifully in different light, contrasted against the gold centre. Elegant, but with enough presence to separate it from the usual dress offerings of the era. The proportions are spot on, helped further by the 20mm lug width which gives it a strong wrist presence for a tank-style watch.

Case shows honest wear consistent with age, retaining sharp lines and good definition. Fitted on a quality strap. Running as it should, service history unknown.

A refined but slightly unconventional JLC , and one you won’t see often in this size and configuration.
