An exceptionally attractive and increasingly difficult-to-find vintage Rolex from the 1950s, housed in a solid 10ct gold Rolex-signed case and featuring one of the most desirable dial configurations of the period.

Measuring 34mm excluding the crown, this example strikes an ideal balance between vintage proportions and modern wearability. The standout feature is undoubtedly the original honeycomb-textured dial, displaying a beautiful guilloché-style pattern beneath a warm silver finish. Applied gold arrow and dagger markers complement the matching gold hands, creating a classic mid-century Rolex aesthetic.

The dial is signed simply “Rolex” and “Shock-Resisting”, a configuration seen on a number of early post-war Rolex models before the Oyster Perpetual line came to dominate the catalogue. The watch retains its original vintage character throughout, with honest aging and patina that collectors seek in untouched examples.

The solid 10ct gold case remains in excellent condition for its age, retaining strong definition to the lugs and finely fluted bezel. Inside, the case back is correctly Rolex stamped and numbered, while the watch is powered by its Rolex manual wind movement.
